Summary or Abstract : The main concern of the present study is learning vocabulary through reading, that is, context effect on vocabulary expansion. This along with readability are two major topics in vicabulary reaserch.The present study is an attempt to investigate the rple of Context training in vocabulary development in comparison with association(expanding vocabulary by using meaningful associational bonds), and Dictionary(expanding vocabulary through using dictionary). The hypothesis of the experiment is that context training has the same effect on vocabulary development as Association and Dictionary. The resuls support context training and Association as more effective than Dictionary..
