Summary or Abstract : Psycholiguistics brings together the theoretical and empirical tools of booth psychology and linguistics to study the mental processes underlying the acquisition and use of language. The following null hypotheses were set forth: 1. There is no difference in subjects performance on the ralative pronoun included passages with those without ralative pronoun. 2. Again, the difference is null whether the relative clause is short or long, or whether it is in subject position or non subject position. 3. If there is any kind of difference, regarding the presence or absence of R.P. it is in favour of the relative pronoun included passages. 4. Regarding the position of relative clause, if there is any kind of difference, it is in favour of relative clause in non - subject position would be easier. 5.We can come to some theoretical implications in favour of universal Grammar..
