Summary or Abstract : The purpose of this study is to determine whether the place of interpraetation aids, the questions appearing along with a text not to test reader but to help him read the text purposefully, has any effect on the reader's comprehension. thus, this study attempt to answer the following questions: 1. Is there any relationship between the place of interpretation aids and amount of comprehension of a text? 2. Where is the most suitable place for the interpratation aids within a text? The following null hypothesis has been formulated: There is no relationship between the place of interpretation aids and the amount of comprehension. This study consisted of the following phases: 1. dealing with the reading comprehension section of Michigan test. 2. Reading the second text and dealing with the aids. 3.Dealing with the fifteen T/F questions parallel to the aids. 4. Dealing with the same questions for the second time a week later. The results i.e, t - values, in none of the cases were significant enough to reject the null hypothesis..
