Summary or Abstract : After the conventional language teaching methods failed to satisfy the pedagogical needs of L2 teachers, most of the S/F language researchers shifted their attention away from looking at language teaching and learning from methods perspective to exploring what actually goes on in classroom environment. According to what has been said, this study is to investigate the possibility of whether there is any relationship between the Iranian EFL students' Initiated Interactions made in the classroom and their English Language Proficiency with particular reference to listening comprehension, vocabulary and structure. Accordingly, the following three null - hypotheses are formulated: 1.There is no relationship between the Iranian EFL students' number of initiated interactions and their scores on Listening Comprehension test. 2. There is no relationship between the Iranian EFL students' number of initiated interactions and their scoes on Vocabulary test. 3. There is no relationship between the Iranian EFL studens' number of initiated interactions and their scores on Structure test..
