Summary or Abstract : This is not another research on the significance of cohesion in reading comprehension, but it is an endeavor to investigate the role of one type of cohesive devices - conjunctions - in reading comprehension from two aspects not studied previously, From one hand, it investigates the effect of conjunctions on the studied previously, From one hand, it investigates the effect of conjunctions on the students' performance on cloze test (text comprehension), from the other hand, it studies the effect of conjunctions on the students' ability to unscramble the scrambled sentences(textual sequence). The null hypotheses, then read as follows: at there is no significat relationship between conjunctions and the students' performance on cloze tests. b there in no significant relationship between conjunctions and the students' ability to unscramble the scrambled sentences..
