Summary or Abstract : A comparison of English with the students' native language can supply information which proves useful in the TESOL classroom. Upon comparing the English complex sentences with adverbial clauses with those of Persian, One may find differences which help account for errors frequently made by native speakers of persian. The following erroneous are sample of these arrors: 1.Although he is quite rich, but is not happy. 2.I haven't heard from him since he has left for India. 3.Let me know when you finished. This study will attempt to investigte the following research questions: 1.What are the sources of errors made by the subjects? 2.What is relationship between the types of errors? The main purpose of the present study is specifying those areas in which the persian students have problems in writing English complex sentences with adverbial clauses. In many opinion this could be achieved only through a careful and precise contrastive analysis of English and Persian complex sentences with adverbial clauses followed by a systematic error analysis..
