Summary or Abstract : In English language the facts (events / actions)are temporally presented either normally, i.e. according to the actual order of their occurences, or abnormally, i.e. when the order of the narration of facts do not conform with the order of their occurrences. some scholars like de beaugrande and dressler have proved that their subjects, by following some NORMAL ORDERING STRATEGIES, have un - consciously changed sentences with abnormal orderings into normal ones. The research questions dealt with are: 1. Are English abnormal temporal orderings more difficult for Persian students to understand than normal ones are? 2. what are persian students'NORMAL ORDERING STRATEGIES reading their English productions? In answering the first research question, the data analysis consisted of: 1. F - test : To obtain the homogeneity of the subjects of the subjects three F - Tests were performed on the result of yhe TOEFL. 2. Criterion - Related Validity: The results of the students' scores on Texts E were correlated with those of TOEFL through pearson's correlation formula. The resul illustrated the validity of the multiple - choice items. 3. Reliability: The reliability of the multiple - choice items was estimated through KR21 formula of reliability coefficient. The result suggested that the items were reliable. 4. T - test: The significance of the differences among the subjects' scores resulted from texts E, M, and was proved by calculating three T - tests..
