Summary or Abstract : Due to the crucial role of listening comprehension and its impact on communication process, the present study is an attempt to investigate the impact of video material aids on Iranian EFL learners' listening comprehension development in comparison to audio only aids, The research questions which motivated the study are as follows: - Do audio material aids have any significant effect on iranian EFL learners' listening comprehension development? - Do video material aids have any significant impact on Iranian EFL learner's listening comprehension development? - On the basis of the above questions the following rull Hypothesis was developed: - There is no significant differece between the impact of audio material aids and video material aids on the development of listening comprehension of Iranian EFL learners. Since the researcher was concerned with subjects development of listening comprehension, the listening comprehension section of the TOFEL test which was used as pre - test, was given to both groups as the post - test to find out the subjects'possible gained scores. The gained scores of subject in the experimental group were compared with the gained scores of the subjects in the control group. The results revealed that the presentation of video materials had a statistically significant effect on the development of listening comprehension of the learners..
