...در این تحقیق دو رمان معروف هاردی یعنی ترس دوربریلز وجود گمنام را از دیدگاه ناتورالیستی بحث و بررسی نمایم. پیروان مکتب ناتورالیستی نگرش منفر گرایانه و جبرگرایانه داشته‌اند. و مواد لازم برای آثارشان را از جنبه‌های پست زندگی که شامل مسائل جنسی، گرسنگی، فقر و بیماری است، انتخاب می کردند. مفهوم تغییر و تحول و بقاء نسب یکی از عناصر غالب در دو رمان مورد نظر می باشد. در هر دو رمان توماس هاردی تغیرات و تحولات زیادی را نشان می دهد که این تغییرات به دو گروه تقسیم می شوند: تغییر و تحول در مناظر طبیعی و تغییر و تحول در فعالیتهای انسانی. این تغییرات بر اثر عوامل محیطی مانند تحولات اجتماعی اقتصادی و تکنولوژیکی روی داده‌اند. توماس هاردی د راین دو رمان نشان می دهد که در جهان طبیعت و همچنین در بین انسانهایی که در این جهان زندگی می کنند یک نزاع و کشمکش برای بقاء وجود دارد. در این نزاع گونه‌های که با محیط اطرافشان سازگار هستند موفق هستند و گونه‌های که حالت عکس را دارند قربانی می شوند. تس وجود هم جز گونه‌های ناموفق هستند و در نهایت قربانی می شوند و

in the dissertation I will apply naturalism to two of Hardy's major novels, Tess and Jude. Chapter 1 which is an introduction, provides some necessary information hal of chapter 1 presented the origin and some defintions of naturalism as well as its majer features and premises. th escond presents reader some biographical facts as well as prevailing factors in Hardy's writing especially his majer novels. chpter two offers a close reading of some extracts from the afore - mentioned novels. in th elast chapter focused on the relation between nature and characters and that of nature and morality.
