هدف تحقیق: بررسی نقش هوش هیجانی در موفقیت آموزشی وی می باشد. فرضیه تحقیق: هیچ رابطهای بین موفقیت آموزشی مدس و تدریس و میزان هوش هیجانی آنها وجود ندارد . پس از محاسبه ضریب هوش هیجانی مدرسان به سه گروه تقسیم شدند. مدرسانی با هوش هیجانی بالا متوسط و پایین . و به این نتیجه رسیدند که رابطه معناداری بین ضریب هوش هیجانی مدرس و موفقیت آموزشی وی وجود ندارد

The following study was carried out to examine the role of Emotional Intelligence (EI) in successful language teaching. To this end 100 Iranian English teachers were selected according to available sampling from two major language institutes in Mashhad. The teachers sat through the EQ test of Bar-On (EQ-i). At the same time, a questionnaire which is called 'Students' View of an Ideal Teacher' was given to the students of those teachers (N=358) after 22 sessions of English class. The so called questionnaire measures teachers' success in terms of teachers' teaching capabilities, personality, order and regularity, supplementary programs and activities, and social and educational life.In other words, firstly, teachers' emotional intelligence was measured through Bar-On EQ questionnaire. Secondly teachers' pedagogical success in the classroom was measured through their students' evaluation at the end of the term. The subsequent data analysis and statistical calculations via correlation and regression revealed that there is no significant relationship between teachers' pedagogical success and their emotional quotient (EQ)..
