: This research addresses the subject of radical Islam and its causes in Central Asian region. Rise of radical Islam in the region after collapse of Soviet Union especially after terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 received more worldsPttention. Thereof the ideology of radical Islam and Islamist movements began to become important factors in Central Asian political life. Many Research and scholars tried to trace the cause of resurgence of radical Islam to single factor and elements such as political and economic. The researcher argues that the rise of radical Islam is not explained with single factor. This dissertation examines multiple factors to explain the resurgence of radical Islam. It argues that radical Islamism is resulted from different causes including socio- economic (such as poverty, underdevelopment, inequality, unemployment, and other grievances from current conditions), political(Frustration and discontent raised from a lack of participation, oppressive regimes, widespread corruption), ideological factors (some schools of thought within Islam that are usually called fundamentalism or radicalism), and individuals roles(emphasizes the role of individual political actors in the emergence of Islamic militancy) and others such as external factors (foreign aid to Islamic radicalists )..
