Summary or Abstract : هدف تحقیق: بررسی تاثیر دو روش حمایت درک مطلب شنیداری آشنایی با موضوع و پیش رویت سؤالات در کاهش اضطراب ناشی از امتحان است. یافته های تحقیق: نشاند داد که تفاوت معناداری بین نمرات دو گروه آزمایشی و نمرات گروه مقایسه در پس ازمون وجود دارد. همچنین تفاوت معناداری بین نمرات دو گروه آزمایشی مشاهده نشد. علاوه بر این نتایج این مطالعه نشان داد که به کارگیری روش های ارزشیابی جایگزین باعث ایجاد تفاوت معناداری در نگرش زبان آموزان نسبت به یادگیری دستور زبان در فاصله اولین جوابگویی به پرسشنامه مربوطه تا دومین پاسخگویی به آن شده است
: Anxiety is an important affective factor in learning a language. Anxiety creates several potential problems for the students of a foreign language because it can interfere with the acquisition, retention and production of the new language. This research seeks to investigate the effect of two listening supports (topic familiarity and question preview) in reducing Iranian EFL learners test anxiety. The subjects participating in this study were 60 female Persian speaking students studying English at Shokooh English Institute. The students completed Test Anxiety Scale at the beginning of the term. After ten weeks of working based on the supports, the subjects of our three groups (topic familiarity, question preview and comparison group) were required to take a listening test in conjunction with one particular form of listening support. The question preview group was required to preview questions and after two hearing of the text, the learners answered the questions. In contrast, the topic preparation (TP) group discussed the topics of the texts in the test. Also, all students filled out the Test Anxiety Scale before the test began. The findings revealed that the topic familiarity procedure led to a better performance and created a considerable change in their test anxiety level of students. Therefore, English teachers are recommended to try to reduce test anxiety by creating a friendly and supportive atmosphere in class, encouraging students' involvement in class activities and teaching some anxiety reducing strategies to students in order to prepare them for the exam..
