The present study aims at finding behavioural patterns followed by translators of children's films so that the result can be taken by the translators and evaluators as guiding principles while at the same time it can also play the role of a homogenizer in translation. The theoretical framework used in this study is Shavit's patterns of behaviour. These are five aspects of systemic affiliation, occurring in the process of translation of children's books and their transference from the adult's literature into that of children's literature. The study is a descriptive, comparable one with a corpus consisting of the first 30 minutes of ten Persian dubbed (by home institutes) children's films produced between 2000 and 2008. This research studies the manifestation of these patterns of behaviour including: affiliation to existing models, the text's integrality, the level of complexity of the text, ideological/evaluative adaptation, and stylistic norms in the aforementioned corpus, adding categorizations to these patterns and coming to new aspects, as manifested in the corpus of the study.
