: For nearly four decades, EFL and ESL scholars had been trying to find which type of feedback- direct vs. indirect, explicit vs. implicit, peer vs. teacher, etc- leads to improving accuracy and retention. Regarding direct feedback, on one side, reduction of confusion and provision of immediate feedback were mentioned as the merits. On the other side, mental engagement and longer internalization were considered the advantages of indirect feedback. Also, focus on the type and nature of writing tasks of university and ESP learners has increased as if many surveys have been conducted to figure out the factors affecting the performances of ESP writers. In an attempt to shed a new light on issues about teachers, this study tried to examine the possible differences between EFL and Content teachers regarding their main concerns while rating writing tasks of ESP learners. Another issue that was undertaken in the present study was finding the features these teachers most and least focus on. To fulfill these aims, the Oxford Placement Test (2004) was administered to 25 Iranian ESP learners to ensure their homogeneity. Five learners, having the same English language proficiency, and ten teachers, five in each population, were selected. The teachers rated the tasks written by the learners on the topic given to them. The findings were analyzed using chi-square test. As the results revealed, the rating of teachers from different educational backgrounds differed..
