Summary or Abstract : The human services environment has changed dramatically in the last century, requiring significant adjustments in the social work profession, and the social work curriculum. Given the importance of the curriculum's role in preparing students for practice in a milieu of complex social change and in assisting in the definition of social work, studying the means by which curricula change and evolve is necessary. This study aims to empirically explore: first, the extent to which certain interactions among social work faculty involved in curriculum change initiate the development of social capital among social work educators; second, whether the social capital developed can predict curriculum development..
