This narrative study investigated memoir writing as culturally responsive literacy curriculum for English language learners (ELL) in an adult education classroom. Specifically, the two research questions were: (a) What happens when English language learners engage in memoir writing as culturally responsive curriculum in an adult education class? and (b) What are the participants' sociocultural perspectives regarding memoir writing in the ELL classroom?.
