Summary or Abstract : The purpose of this study was to explore the influence of higher education accreditation processes on organizational learning capabilities. The study utilized retrospective, descriptive, and quantitative methods to measure faculty attitudes at two institutions of higher education. One school utilized the Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP) while the second school utilized the Program to Evaluate and Advance Quality (PEAQ). Results from a study completed in 2001 were compared with results from 2005 to assess change over time for: (a) shared mission and vision, (b) organizational culture, (c) teamwork and team learning, (d) sharing of knowledge, (e) systems thinking, (f) leadership, and (g) employee skills and competencies.
