Summary or Abstract : The increasing rate of the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and the popularity of Discrete Trial Therapy (DTT) as an intervention has created an educational environment that requires a team of parents, educators, and behavior agency supervisors, to work together to design coordinated educational plans. The purpose of this research was to document the extent to which these Individual Education Plan (IEP) team members are using successful collaboration techniques. A survey was given to a sample of 59 IEP team members of students with ASD to describe the occurrence of facilitating practices, the occurrence of negative practices, and the dynamics of participation in IEP meetings. A high reported rate of negative practices and some incongruence among raters' perspectives, suggest a potential need for specialized training in collaboration as the fields of special education and behavior intervention continue to adapt to meet the needs of students with ASD..
