Summary or Abstract : Educational theory and practice, although inextricably linked, were often viewed as separate and unequal entities. Educational theory was reported to be less useful and less valuable than practice. The purpose of this study was to examine public school elementary teachers' beliefs about their experiences with educational theory. The research question guiding this study was, do public school elementary teachers differ in their beliefs about the usefulness and value of educational theory?.
