Summary or Abstract : This study investigated the impact co-teaching had on students with exceptionalities in the general education setting. The investigation focused on the implementation of the required district math curriculum and instructional modalities to provide specially designed instruction to the learning disabled student according to his or her Individualized Educational Program (IEP). The study examined the planning, implementation, and effective instructional strategies that make co-teaching successful. Over the course of one school year of co-teaching we discovered that our students made adequate progress, enjoyed learning, developed cooperative skills, students' required IEP goals, objectives, and time frequencies were met, and did not waste valuable learning time transitioning from the general education classroom to the learning resource room..
