Summary or Abstract : This study was conducted to determine baccalaureate nursing faculty's beliefs about teaching and learning. Four questions were addressed: What are faculty's beliefs about teaching and learning? Is there a relationship between faculty beliefs and their personal characteristics? Is there a relationship between faculty beliefs and school demographics? To what extent do faculty perceive they can implement their beliefs? A revised instrument developed by Butler, to measure beliefs about teaching and learning, was used to survey four-hundred thirty-five faculty members in fifty nationally accredited baccalaureate degree nursing programs in the member states of the Southern Region Education Review Board. One-hundred seventy-seven surveys were returned..
