Summary or Abstract
:
The purpose of this inquiry was to examine how one interdisciplinary teaching team collaborates to help meet the needs of special education students in the regular classroom. The study focuses also on the different roles the team members assume as they work together in this process. Data were collected through personal observations and field notes, the collection of relevant artifacts and documentation, and interviews with regular and special education team members. The findings of this study confirm the idea that interdisciplinary teams offer a powerful context for the successful inclusion of students with special needs at the middle school level..
