This study focused on teaching strategies and methodologies successful, general education teachers in grades four through six used in teaching mathematics within an inclusive setting. This study also focused on the rationale of how teachers ensured that special education students had the opportunity to engage in successful learning experiences during mathematics instruction by using on-going and continuous assessments. The study included how students with learning disabilities benefited from an inclusive setting and how teacher choice of specific instructional strategies were based on individual student needs..
