Summary or Abstract : The purpose of this study was to provide a global view of Texas education by identifying the common strengths and weaknesses of the 216 school districts which received an accreditation visit during the 1984-85 school year. The study involved comparisons of districts within similar geographic areas as identified by regional service center area, comparisons of districts based on district wealth categories according to taxable value per average daily attendance, and comparisons of districts on accredited advised and accredited warned status..
