Summary or Abstract : The purpose of the study was to investigate the relationship between philosophical preferences and leadership style in order to initiate some philosophy research in educational administration at the exploratory level. Philosophy is defined as the study of the basic nature of conduct, thought, knowledge, existence, and reality, or a particular system of principles for the conduct of life.The study is a correlation study that explores the relationship of philosophical preference and leadership styles of public school administrators in selected districts in Arkansas. The method used was a measure of the relationship of the two variables as determined by Chi-Square and Pearson's Product Moment..
