Summary or Abstract
:
To date, no studies have examined the relationship between personality features, cognitive abilities and adaptive functioning. The present study investigated personality features of 31 individuals with ASD using the NEO PI-R and level of emotional awareness using the Toronto Alexithymia Scale-20 item version (TAS-20), and compared these to 29 age- and sex-matched normal controls. The study also examined correlations between the NEO-PI-R and the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scales-Third Edition (WAIS-III) and the Adaptive Behavior Assessment System (ABAS)..
