Summary or Abstract : Social behavior is the result of a complex interaction among the personalities of those individuals present in a social environment. Each individual brings his or her own thoughts, feelings, and construal of reality to the interaction. Each social situation changes as a function of the goals and personal characteristics of the people that choose to be there. In the context of social situations, the person and the situation are both contained within a system of interlocking determinants, known as the dynamic person-situation interaction.
