Summary or Abstract : The current and projected shortages of high school administrators demand that attention be provided to how current administrators view their teams in terms of work group effectiveness. The study assessed two central research questions. First, it was determined how high school administration team members viewed aspects of their performance situation, how they described the extent to which team conditions enabled their effectiveness, and how they described their team's effectiveness. Second, the study examined the relationships among various aspects of the team's initial conditions, enabling conditions, and indicators of performance effectiveness (Hackman and Oldham, 1980)..
