Summary or Abstract : The images of private vocational education in Thailand were studied by analyzing the image-making moments among former private vocational students. Using the articulation model of meaning and the collapse model of image, this research identified three main categories of factors that influenced the development of images: personal factors, social factors, and school-related factors. Examples of specific factors within these three categories included peer relationships, stress, academic performance, perceptions of vocational students' behaviors, academic reputation of vocational schools, and the schools' teachers and facilities. These factors, depending on the individual's circumstance and experiences, could become an overdetermining factor in the image-making process at specific moments in time..
