Summary or Abstract : The purpose of this study was to examine how general education and special education teachers perceived they collaborate to increase special education student achievement in inclusive classrooms. The comparisons of the perceptions of general education and special education teachers contribute to our understanding of how collaboration takes place. This study was built upon the premise that in order to increase special education student achievement in inclusive classrooms, interpersonal collaboration among general education and special education teachers is needed (Bauwens & Hourcade, 1995; Friend & Cook, 1996; Walther-Thomas et al., 2000)..
