Summary or Abstract : This study measured special education teachers and regular education teachers' perceptions have of their levels of general cognitive ability according to the six domains of Bloom's taxonomy: knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis and evaluation, as well as some specific kinds of thinking: problem-solving, reflection and creativity.Fifty-six special education teachers and fifty-four regular education teachers from a Phoenix, Arizona school district participated in this study. Research data for this research was collected quantitatively and qualitatively Quantitative data was collected using an adaptation of a survey instrument used by Sharpes, the Teachers' Critical Thinking Questionnaire.
