Summary or Abstract : This study attempted to derive empirical correlates of certain subtypes of four personality categories created by Harrison Gough, the author of the newly revised California Psychological Inventory (CPI). Fifty male and fifty female undergraduates from Auburn University completed the CPI and a twenty-five item biographical data form. These target subjects were then classified into a personality type and level of realization in terms of their scores on three special scales and then rated by two same-sex peers on the Wiggins Interpersonal Adjective Scale. Statistically significant descriptors for each personality type were obtained by comparing these ratings (and biodata) with data acquired from all other subjects..
