Summary or Abstract : This study explored teleworker and telemanager perception of management behaviors, which enable telework success and sustains the strength of the employee-manager relationship. It can be argued that other management behaviors are necessary and perhaps even more important within the telework environment than those commonly witnessed within a traditional office setting. However, because the research is limited, managers are not provided with the telework behaviors which can assist their performance within a telework environment. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive research methodology, and a semistructured interview process, data were gathered from study participants who met the study's selection criteria. Each interview was audiotaped and then transcribed. Textual analysis was performed using the constant comparative method for data analysis, aided by the use of the qualitative software tool, HyperRESEARCH 2.6.1. The result of that analysis has provided additional insight into teleworker and telemanager perceptions of effective management behaviors. Additionally, the results have identified those behaviors which are most suitable for enhancing and sustaining the employee and manager relationship..
