The purpose of this quantitative study was to compare the subjective feelings of psychological well-being of working and non-working mothers. There were a total of 43 mothers who participated in this study and of those 28 were employed/working and 15 were non-employed/non-working.The results of this study indicated that there were no statistically significant differences between working and non-working mothers in regards to their positive well being, depressed mood or anxiety. Additional findings revealed that both working and non-working mothers reported having high levels of positive well-being and low levels of depressed mood and anxiety.
