Summary or Abstract : The purpose of this study was to determine if significant differences exist in redesign cost effectiveness on a total cost-per-student basis and the cost effectiveness between the four components of course redesign (as well as the total cost) as defined by the National Center for Academic Transformation (NCAT) Program in Course Redesign: materials development, faculty training, instruction, and evaluation. This study measured the cost effectiveness of instructional components of thirty courses from thirty separate institutions across the United States which have been redesigned from traditional delivery methods to technology-based, non-technology based, or hybrid technology systems..
