Summary or Abstract : Religion and spirituality are vital components of one's psychological constellation; these constructs have been linked to important outcomes in physical health (Hill & Pargament, 2003), psychological health (Worthington, Kurusu, McCullough, & Sandage, 1996), clinical practice (McCullough, 1999; Rose, et. al., 2001) and other psychological variables. Although the discipline of psychology has traditionally distanced itself from issues of spirituality, this avoidance has declined in recent years as clinicians and researchers have become increasingly attuned to the centrality of spiritual issues in organizing personality and augmenting well-being. Unfortunately, the relationship between spirituality and common psychological constructs, like personality, remains ambiguous..
