Summary or Abstract : The "Common Language" version of the California Child Q-set (CCQ) was used to investigate how the Big Five dimensions of Extraversion, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, Neuroticism, and Openness to Experience relate to (a) more successful academic outcome, (b) the presence or absence of internalizing symptoms, (c) conduct disorder problems, (d) social competence, and (e) self-awareness for a sample of 12-to 18-year-old adolescents (mean age 14.8 years) diagnosed in childhood with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Ninety-four parents (85 mothers and 9 fathers) and 94 adolescents (67 male and 27 females) completed separate Q-sorts as well as the parent form or youth self-report form of the Child Behavior Checklist.
