Summary or Abstract : This quantitative study has a two-fold purpose. First, the study aims to detect differences between women's and men's career mobility toward the superintendency in terms of movement patterns. Second, the study tries to investigate the relationship between OCM factors and women's career development. To address these purposes, this study has two stages of data analysis. In the first stage, the present study identified typical career pathways and mobility patterns to the superintendency for four targeted groups: women superintendents, aspiring and non-aspiring women administrators in central office, and men superintendents. This stage of analysis was conducted through analyzing data about professional experiences of survey respondents with descriptive data analysis methods such as percentage and frequency..
