Summary or Abstract
:
The purpose of the study was to investigate whether counselor internship trainees' perceptions of the supervisory working alliance and self-efficacy are significantly positively related to satisfaction with supervision in non-Western culture, Taiwan. The understanding of trainees' satisfaction with supervision can help to clarify the context of supervision. Among the variables influencing trainees' satisfaction with supervision, the supervisory working alliance and trainees' self-efficacy are the variables postulated to predict trainees' satisfaction with supervision. In addition, as the world grows smaller and cultures begin to merge, it is imperative to validate the usefulness of Western counseling theories and approaches to cultures that are very different from the West..
