The decision-making factors of cost, reliability, vulnerability, and top management support are examined to understand their influence on technology professionals. The study is based on a survey distributed to information technology (IT) professionals in and around the greater Los Angeles area. This research will hypothesize that all four decision-making factors relate to a more humanistic or technological decision of securing information.
