Summary or Abstract : Educators need professional development to be fully aware of and understand character education. This study finds teachers who had training in professional development sessions on character education are more likely to implement character education techniques and strategies into the classroom. Furthermore, when teachers have knowledge of character education strategies like cooperative learning, service learning, and class meetings, teachers are more likely to implement character education into the daily routine and curriculum. Schools possessing a schoolwide character education initiative tend to have teachers who are more likely to implement character education into the daily curriculum and classroom routines..
