Summary or Abstract : The purpose of the study is to demonstrate improvements in celerations, performance changes, and fluency of words read orally using repeated readings and practice procedures with Precision Teaching measurement approaches during one-minute timings among elementary students of American Indian heritage who also exhibit identified learning disabilities. Participants were identified for the research based on identified difficulties in oral reading fluency. The study took place in a private school in the Midwest. This study utilized a single subject research design. Three students, and their teacher participated in the research to analyze the effectiveness of a repeated readings intervention. Student sessions were audiotaped and reviewed for reliability by the students' classroom teacher. Interobserver reliability results averaged 100 for reading passages reviewed. Student performance was charted and measured using Standard Celeration charts. Trends of performance were analyzed to measure individual progress for each participant. This study found that the use of repeated readings with Precision Teaching measurement approaches had a slight effect of improvement in student's oral reading fluency. Limitations such as student attendance, other duties of the researcher, and days in session may have had an effect on the results. This study could have implications for educators who work with students of American Indian descent..
